Beechworth-Yackandandah

Start opposite rail trail station- proceed through Chinese Gardens to Spring Creek walking track- follow upstream, at track Y junction turn right (Gee Rd)- at Stanley Rd (bitumen) turn left- turn left onto Mauger Rd - proceed straight ahead past house on the corner on the right- cross bridge onto Dixons Fire Track- climb uphill - turn right onto Middle Track- at T junction turn right for 150m then left again on Gum Ridge Ridge- at T junction turn right onto Twist Creek Rd (pine forest area)- before the top of the hill, look for a track on the right in native bush near the corner fenceline- take this track which goes past an orchard- as you come out into a clearing and track junction, proceed straight ahead uphill on Wallaby Track- turn right on ?? following the track that is the dividing line between native forest on your right and pine plantation (some areas logged) on your left- turn right downhill at major dirt road junction- proceed straight ahead on Service Basin Track- turn left at Bullocky Gully Track- turn right on 'singletrack'  which is opposite 'road closed' sign (do not take the road closed track but rather the track just to the right of it)- the singletrack comes out at the reservoir, proceed straight ahead (short steep uphill) on track and follow narrow trails along ridge to Cohns Spur Track- at Y junction keep left- proceed down steep track with big waterbars- cross creek and turn left on dirt road- follow Bells Flat Rd- turn left on Harring Lane which brings you into the back of the Yackandandah Sports Park- explore singletrack in the small bush area behind the oval

Beechworth-Eldorado

Start at Beechworth Rail Station- head towards Everton along Rail Trail, turn right at first road crossing onto Mellish St- proceed straight ahead at junction with B'worth-Wangaratta Road (the Gorge Rd)- take the first road (Pritchard Rd) on the left uphill- turn right at the T junction onto Malakoff Rd- take first track on your left where the old chimney stack is on the corner)- continue on this track uphill- at junction with B'worth-Wangaratta Rd turn right on narrow track- continue along past a couple of houses parallel to the main road- follow the more defined track next to a pine forest also parallel to the main rd- turn right at T junction onto Flat Rock Rd (bitumen)- follow road to the left (Sheep Station Rd) at Y junction- come to gate (if closed, please shut this and any other gates after passing through)- this is a public road which passes through private farming land- continue along through another gate in farming land after passing a shed/cattle yard and big pile of old tyres on your right- as you come back into a forest area on your left after climbing uphill slightly, take the faint track on your left- where the track appears to dead-end, continue straight ahead which will become more obvious as a defined singletrack trail- at the fenceline turn right and continue to follow singletrack (running alongside the fenceline)- at junction with a vehicle track that finishes at fenceline, turn right- follow this up to the road and turn left through gate entering the Chiltern-Pilot National Park- proceed straight ahead on Masons Rd- turn right on track marked Masons Number One Track- at T junction turn left on Neioff's Rd- continue downhill and look for singletrack on the right (Telcom line) that runs parallel with the road- the singletrack is steep and rocky in places then flattens out and crosses Neioff's Rd- continue straight ahead on more singletrack after crossing the main road- the singletrack again crosses Neioff's Rd and continue straight ahead- the singletrack comes out at a clearing/picnic area at Kangaroo Crossing- cross Reedy Creek at the road crossing and head uphill for 50m- turn left on Mulls Fire Track- continue uphill and take the track on the left at the Y junction- keep to the main track and turn left (downhill) on Eldorado Fire Track- keep left on the main road at Y junction and cross bridge- continue straight ahead into Eldorado or take the track to the left right after the creek bridge crossing and ride the singletrack (old levee bank) upstream along the creek- at the end of the singletrack simply head uphill to the main road and turn right and head into Eldorado
