Six Hours in the Saddle- Entry Form (Word doc)
and fill out ALL the details and post, fax or e-mail your entry to us
(details are on the entry form) with full payment. Payment can be made by
cheque, money order or credit card (Mastercard, Visa or Bankcard)
Please note that there is no early bird discount available on manual entries
and in addition there is a $5 processing fee per team.

A 10km loop of the Beechworth Mountain Bike Park (the easiest option)
which includes some NEW sections on private land. The new sections
are not open to the public and can only be ridden at this event !PLEASE NOTE- In line with the Victorian State Endurance Series,
the following categories will be available for the Six Hours in the Saddle event-

THE ROUNDABOUT IN BEECHWORTH DIRECTING PEOPLE TO THE MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK RACE SITE
REGISTRATION WILL ONLY BE OPEN FROM 8AM-10AM ON RACE MORNING, SATURDAY APRIL 5. VEHICLE ACCESS- WHILST THERE IS PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE BEECHWORTH MOUNTAIN BIKE
PARK EVENT SITE, PARKING IS LIMITED. BECAUSE THE EVENT SITE IS CLOSE TO TOWN, PLEASE
RIDE TO THE SITE FROM YOUR ACCOMODATION OR FROM PARKING NEAR TOWN.
WATER- LIMITED DRINKING WATER IS AVAILABLE, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SUPPLY.
BOTTLED WATER CAN BE BOUGHT AT THE EVENT SITE.
THE ONSITE FOOD CATERING WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FULL DURATION OF THE EVENT.

What is SIX HOURS IN THE SADDLE ?
The SIX HOURS IN THE SADDLE event is an off road challenge or endurance mountain bike race which can be entered solo or in a team of 2, 3 or 4 people (same or mixed sex). The SIX HOURS IN THE SADDLE event is a race in which the competitor/s with the most laps after 6 hrs of racing wins. The competition is not only against the other teams and individuals but against the terrain, the clock and yourself. It's more than just an event though, it's a total mountain bike festival experience with the emphasis on having fun. Product prizes for solo riders and teams and crazy random spot prizes will be awarded.

Location: Beechworth Mountain Bike Park in NE Victoria (2.5km from the town centre of Beechworth)

The Mountain Bike Course
The SIX HOURS IN THE SADDLE course is a little over 9km loop which is a mix of fun flowing singletrack (80%) and some fire trails. The course should be achievable by almost all fairly competent mountain bike riders with a reasonable level of fitness. The course itself is achievable by all except for the complete novice or inexperienced mountain bike rider. Each lap of the course will take an average of 25-30minutes to complete. The course will be take the easier trails at the Beechworth MTB Park.
Arrival
The race course will be marked out and open to pre-ride all day on the Friday (April 4) and Saturday morning before
the race until 10am. The private section of the course (2km) will not be able to be ridden on the Friday.

What do I need to bring?
Each rider must have the following equipment whilst on the course-
* Serviceable mountain bike
* Australian Standards certified cycling helmet
* 1 full water bottle (Camelbaks allowed)
* MTBA full licence or alternatively a day licence can be issued for $15.
This licence covers you, your fellow competitors and the event with insurance.
Support Crew
Individual competitors are advised to have a support crew. A well-rested driver for the return journey after the race is strongly recommended for all riders. You will need to set up your transition area, as well as supplying your team mate/s with food and drinks.

Accommodation ?
There is no camping available at the event site, the Beechworth Mountain Bike Park. The town is only 2.5km away with
a range of accommodation available including two caravan parks, motels, hotel and B&B's. Please contact the
