FAQ

Can I enter on the day ?
Yes you can. But please try and pre-enter online before 10pm on Wednesday 3rd October, 2012. Remember there is a late fee after this date and it will cost you an extra $10 to register on race day.

What are the categories for the Flow DH ?
Categories based on your age are based on how old you are on the date of the event, Saturday October 6, 2012.

Elite Male, Elite Female, Open Female, Under 19 Male, Under 17 Male, Under 15 Male, Veteran Male (30-39), Master Male (40-49), Super Masters Male (50 and over), Sport Male and Beginner (male or female).

The Beginner category is open to any age. It is designed to be an introduction to Downhill Mountain Bike Racing. Open Women is a general racing category for females who are not at the Elite Women level.

Do I need bike lights to ride the Flow DH ?
No you don't need to bring any bike lights to race the Flow DH finals which are at night. The whole course will be well lit with lighting towers and flood lights, especially the more technical sections. All competitors will get an opportunity to do at least one run under lights before their final race run.

Can I enter both the Flow DH (Downhill) and the Flow XCD (Cross Country Descent) events which are on the same day  ?
Yes you can enter and ride both events on the day. The online registration system is not set up to allow you to enter both races. Instead, you need to enter online one of the events best suited to you (Flow DH or Flow XCD). On the event day at registration you can then include entry into the second event. The cost to enter both the Flow DH and the Flow XCD is capped at $100. You will be issued with 2 number plates, one for each event. If you have 2 different bikes place a number plate on each appropriate bike. If you are racing both events on the one bike, the appropriate number plate must be visible for your race run. You will need to swap and change this for your race runs.

Is there food and drink available at the event ?
Yes. There will be a mobile coffee van at the race finish area (bottom of the hill) along with Ashlar Woodfire Mobile Gourmet Pizzas  who will be selling fresh made to order, wood-fired pizzas.
