Elite Male, Elite Female, Open Female, Under 19 Male, Under 17 Male, Under 15 Male, Veteran Male (30-39), Master Male (40-49), Super Masters Male (50 and over), Sport Male and Beginner (male or female).

*Note* If you choose an age based category, it is based on your age on the date of the event, Saturday October 6, 2012.

The Beginner category is open to any age (male or female). It is designed to be an introduction to Downhill Mountain Bike racing.

Enter online and save: Online entries close at 10pm on Wednesday 3 October, 2012. After this date you need to enter on the day at the event.

Senior = $70
Junior = $60 (Under 15 & Beginner ONLY)

Day Racing license = $20

All riders MUST produce their MTBA Competition Licence. If you do not have proof of MTBA Competition Membership you will need to fill out and purchase a Day Racing Licence from registration.

Event Schedule

Two separate mountain bike events are being run concurrently on 2 separate courses on Saturday October 6, 2012 at the Beechworth MTB Park

* Flow DH (Downhill) and the

* Flow XCD (Cross Country Descent)

Friday
Course will be open and available for on foot inspection and/or self-shuttles

Saturday

Course available for on foot inspection only from 8am-10am (strictly NO RIDING as the course will be closed during this time)

0830 - 1400 Registration Open (Entries after 1400 will not be accepted)
0830 - 1100 Course available for on foot inspection
1100 - 1430 FLOW DH: Official course practise (ALL GROUPS)
1430 - 1530
FLOW DH:Official course practise (NO PRO GROUP)
1530 - 1630
FLOW DH:Official course practise (PRO GROUP ONLY)
1630 - 1730 FLOW DH Course Closed to allow for the FLOW XCD Event racing
1800 - 1900 FLOW DH seeding run (competitors complete their seeding run  at night under lights)
1900 - 2100 FLOW DH night racing under lights
Presentations will be held at the conclusion of the Elite Mens final

*Note: A diligent effort will be made by event organisers to police these groups on course to ensure all riders are given the best chance to complete full runs during practice.

PRO Group = Elite Men, Under 19 Men and Expert Men
Non Pro Group = all other categories
The Race Director has the ability to disqualify any rider that disobeys this rule. All Pro Group riders will have a colour coded race plate.

Location

The Beechworth Mountain Bike Park is located on the corner of Alma and Greenwattle Roads in Beechworth, 2.5km from the centre of town.

Parking

Parking is available near the top of the DH course on the corner of Greenwattle and Alma Roads. Parking is not permitted at the bottom of the course on lower Greenwattle Road. Both spectators and competitors are able to use the bus transport up and/or down the hill at no charge. Toilets are located at the top and bottom of the course.   

Food

Coffee and food (mobile wood fired pizzas & snacks) will be available for the duration of the event at the carpark on the corner of Greenwattle and Alma Roads.

Camping is not permitted at the event site at the Beechworth MTB Park.
